Korean Visa Application for Filipinos in Singapore

Blame it on K-dramas, K-pop, K-beauty products, or just really good Korean food—but somehow, a trip to South Korea always ends up on the travel list. 😄 Even if you’re not a super K-pop fan (same here), it’s hard to resist the idea of exploring South Korea, café hopping, and maybe catching those cherry blossoms in real life.

If you’re a Philippine passport holder living in Singapore and thinking about visiting South Korea, here’s a quick and easy guide based on my experience applying twice—first for a single-entry visa, and then getting approved for a 5-year multiple-entry visa.

Note: This applies to Philippine passport holders working in Singapore only. Requirements may vary depending on your location, nationality, and any updates to visa rules. Applicable as of 2025.

Why I Used an Agency

For both applications, I used Global Singapore (in Clarke Quay), and honestly… no regrets. They made everything feel way less stressful. They check your documents line by line and even give tips to improve your chances.

What I really like? If they think your chances are low, they’ll actually tell you not to proceed yet, and advise what to do — so you don’t waste money. Super helpful.

Visa Application Steps

  1. Prepare your documents (see list below).

  2. Submit everything to the agency for checking.

  3. Fill out and sign the Global Singapore visa order form.

  4. They’ll submit it to the embassy for you.

  5. Wait around 5–10 working days.

  6. Get your passport back and (hopefully) your visa!

My Experience

My first application for a single-entry visa was smooth. The second time, I went for multiple-entry and got approved for 5 years - which honestly makes future trips so much easier. 😇

I’ve also used the same agency for my Japan visa application, and the process has always been super straightforward.

Final Thoughts

If you don’t want to overthink the process, using an agency like Global Singapore is really worth it. They'll guide you, double-check everything, and give you that extra peace of mind.
