Lugano, Switzerland: A Day Trip From Milan

 

One of the memorable activities we did in Europe was a day trip to Lugano. Nestled in the region of Ticino, Lugano is a haven of tranquility with its alluring lakes, magnificent mountains, and lovely natural parks. We travelled to Lugano from Milan for less than 2 hours. It was a fun and comfortable journey, passing by Como.

I was over the moon when we added this trip in our itinerary. My eyes feasted on those Renaissance churches, lush garden along the lake, belle epoque hotels, modern villas, scenic mountain peaks, and more! We took the funicular to Monte Brè which stands 925 metre high. The view from the top is simply breathtaking, specially the Lugano Lake.
