Diamond Suites: Precious Gem

Diamond is known for being rare and durable, making it the most prized of all gems. But in a busy place like Cebu City, who would think that there is a diamond that won't cost you millions. Yes, there lies a diamond that anybody can call their own - well at least during the stay. I'm talking about the Diamond Suites & Residences.

The Diamond Suites is not new to me. Back in Sinulog 2013, my siblings were invited to have a henna tattoo booth at the hotel. And that's the first time I heard about them. I can still recall what my sister told me, that the hotel personnel were very friendly and warm. Two years after, it's my time to check out this place.

Great Location

When it comes to accessibility, the Diamond Suites got a perfect location. If you are not familiar with Escario Street, you just need to think of the Ayala Center Cebu. The hotel is located just across the Ayala PUJ terminal. So finding the hotel is no problemo. And if you need to buy something, 10 minutes would be too long to get to Ayala. Shopping mall, restaurants, entertainment and business center is within reach when you stay a the hotel. How cool is that?

My sister was right. The staff was indeed friendly and accommodating. During our Cebu Blogging Community Ultimate Meet Up, which was held at the hotel, their General Manager was there to meet us along with the Sales and Marketing staff. They're so nice to assist us and to make sure what we're having a pleasant time. They have big smiles plastered on their faces.

The Diamond Suites boasts 102 Superior and Deluxe air-conditioned guest rooms (and 27 condominium units). Each room is fully equipped with LCD television, fridge, work space and other amenities.

Amenities

I like the fact that these rooms are spacious (especially the superior room) even with these conveniences around. You can easily move around without bumping into anything. Want more? The plush beds are so comfortable that you wouldn't want to get up. And they have memory pillows too! Am I in Nirvana?

Want to enjoy a laid back moment on a lounge chair while savoring a good view? Nope, you don't need to go to a pricey beach resort. The Diamond has a roof deck with a swimming pool where you can relax. During nighttime, the deck has this creative, playful and colorful light effects that add a cozy and romantic-ish touch to the whole ambiance.

During our pool party, we were so lucky to have an acoustic singer who serenaded us. The view of neighboring skyscrapers was enchanting at night. Good music, great friends and fantastic place, what more can you ask for?

The hotel has a restaurant at the ground floor, but we had our party at the pool deck so t'was more fun. Their in-house chef made sumptuous pasta - and I mean all types of pasta. Yum! We had so many food choices and drinks too. The waiters wandered around with trays of different bit-sized foodies. And I heard they have mouthwatering barbecue. OMG, who wants one? Wait.. have I mentioned they have delicious food? *wink* We just love it! 

The Diamond Suites has indeed lived up their promise and tagline - "Come home to Diamond". You'll be pampered without the costly price. No doubt that it is a precious gem in a busy city like Cebu.
